Devojčica I meda

Vane Kosturanov

Devojčica I meda

Translated by Aleš Mustar

The girl and the teddy bear are friends who spend ordinary and extraordinary moments together. They journey through the seasons, discovering new things, feeling the wind on their faces, playing hide and seek with the sun, conquering the highest peaks, and diving into the sea. Then, one day, the girl meets new friends…

With gentle illustrations, this picture book invites readers on a very special adventure. It weaves a warmly dreamy tale of friendship and growing up, encouraging conversations about new discoveries and changes that everyone experiences in their lives.

VANE KOSTURANOV spends a significant part of his life creating things. Sometimes, he invents new stories, and sometimes he invents and illustrates children’s books. In his spare time, he draws on paper and canvas, and he occasionally creates illustrations for other writers (who are also known inventors). Vane lives and works in Strumica, a small and very down-to-earth city. He is one of the most recognizable Macedonian artists and authors of picture books. His artistic visions have been presented at several exhibitions and he won the award for the best Macedonian picture book twice (2018, 2019).
