In his three gripping detective stories, Andrej Rozman Roza shows in a humorous way that we sometimes find ourselves in a hopeless situation, but with the right degree of courage and daring there is always a solution. In 2008, the collection Kako je Oskar postal detektiv (How Oscar Became a Detective) received the Desetnica Award for the best children’s or young adults’ book awarded by the Slovene Writers’ Association. Andrej Rozman Roza is a multifaceted artist: a poet, writer, playwright, director and actor. He writes parodies and humorous poems, stories and theatre comedies for children and adults. He adapts classical texts for other media or for modern times. In March 2003 he founded the theatre group Rozinteater, which stages plays for audiences aged from two to the last hour. He does not have his own stage and has to make guest appearances with most of his performances, appearing on the most prestigious theatre stages, as well as alternative and amateur venues at home and abroad.
