
EZOP Publishing House, founded in 1991 in Warsaw, Poland is a team of four women who dedicated their work to publishing high quality books for children and promoting good literature among young readers. Ezop specializes in Polish contemporary literature for children and teenagers, but also explores other genres like fairy tales, short stories, novels, lexicons and poetry, comic books by the best Polish authors and illustrators and lately also by foreign authors. Among artists constantly cooperating with EZOP are L. Bardijewska, A. Onichimowska, P. Wechterowicz, M. Wojtyszko, A. Dudek, E. Dziubak, K. Lipka – Sztarbałło. They focus on publishing books that are characterized by high literary and artistic standards and distinguished by modern graphic design. Among several bestselling, award-winning books published by EZOP it is worth mentioning Maciej Wojtyszko’s Bromba i inni, Liliana Bardijewska’s Zielony wędrowiec, Anna Onichimowska’s Sen, który odszedł; Piecyk, czapeczka i budyń; Przemysław Wechterowicz’s Proszę mnie przytulić (won the Warsaw Literary Prize 2014 and was listed in The White Ravens 2014 Catalogue). EZOP Publishing House has won over 30 literary and editorial awards and honours (Polish and foreign), among others from Polish Section of IBBY, Polish Association of Book Publishers, Raczynski Library, Association for Book Promotion IKAR and International Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava.
